Two women arrested for running over woman tied to railroad tracks, following police call

Idaho State Police responded to a serious incident in Elmore County where a 20-year-old woman was run over by a vehicle after an argument. The woman, who was not tied to the railroad tracks as initially reported, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. The incident occurred on July 3 at around 12:29 a.m. Troopers believe that the victim was struck by the vehicle driven by two women who were involved in the argument. The suspect vehicle was later found by Gooding County deputies parked on the side of the road, and the driver, a 20-year-old Buhl woman, was arrested on charges of felony aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of a crash, among others. The passenger, a 21-year-old Wendell woman, was also arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

The incident is a reminder of the dangers of impaired driving and the consequences that can result from such actions. It is important for all individuals to exercise caution and responsibility while operating a vehicle to prevent accidents and harm to others.
