Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, announced that CEO Jordan Herget will be leaving the organization for a new role outside the community. Herget joined the hospital in August 2020 and has since expanded capacity and services, improved patient safety, and quality care. Hospital spokeswoman Katie Damron Quayle revealed that Herget accepted a position at a health system in Nevada and will depart on September 6.
Before his time at Portneuf, Herget was president and CEO of hospitals in California and held various roles in hospitals across several states. Portneuf has received three ‘A’ safety grades in the last five hospital cycles and will conduct a national search for a permanent CEO after Herget’s departure. In the interim, Chief Operating Officer Nate Carter will serve as acting CEO.
Portneuf Health expressed gratitude for Herget’s leadership and dedication to the community, wishing him and his family the best in their future endeavors. The hospital’s focus on patient safety and quality care will continue under new leadership as they strive to serve and support the community. For more local news and updates, visit EastIdahoNews.com.
