A tragic two-vehicle crash in Bonneville County, Idaho resulted in the death of 18-year-old Joshua Lindula of Idaho Falls. The crash occurred just north of 17th South on 45th West in Bonneville County at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday night. Four others were injured and transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with severe, but non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, a 2016 GMC Sierra pickup was attempting to turn left into a driveway when it failed to yield to a 2003 Nissan car traveling southbound. The Nissan struck the GMC in the passenger side, causing it to overturn and come to rest in a nearby field. The Nissan came to a stop in the road just past the driveway.
The driver and two passengers of the GMC pickup, all male adults, were transported to the hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 17-year-old male, was also hospitalized with severe injuries. The sheriff’s office suspects that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
