Idaho Fish and Game has just released the 2024 Idaho wildlife license plates featuring three new designs: elk, cutthroat trout, and mountain bluebird, all created by Idaho artists. By purchasing these plates, Idaho residents can support the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s wildlife diversity program. The bluebird plates cost $35 for new and $25 for renewals, with $25 and $15 respectively going towards wildlife conservation. The cutthroat trout plates also cost $35 for new and $15 for renewals, with contributions supporting non-motorized boating access facilities for anglers. The elk plates follow the same pricing structure and contributions, with funds going towards the wildlife disease lab and livestock disease control fund. Residents can renew or purchase these plates on the Idaho Department of Transportation’s website. This initiative provides an opportunity for all residents, regardless of their vehicle choice, to contribute to the conservation and protection of Idaho’s diverse plant and animal life.
