Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, pleaded guilty to his third driving while intoxicated charge in Smith County, Texas. The 54-year-old was arrested in February and indicted in April, entering his plea on Tuesday. In a plea deal, he will serve five years of probation with one year of intense supervision. This was Mahomes Sr.’s third DWI arrest, with previous arrests in 2018 and 2008. In 2019, he was sentenced to 40 days of jail time served on weekends. His sentencing for this latest offense is scheduled for September 23. The February arrest occurred just before his son led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win.
