Island Park Festival Guarantees ‘the Ultimate Celebration’ over Labor Day Weekend

Come celebrate this Labor Day weekend at the Island Park Festival, located on 4133 Quakie Lane in Island Park. With over 200 vendors from around the United States, this event promises to be a fun-filled family-friendly atmosphere. Sponsored by Sawtelle Mountain Resort and Connie’s Restaurant, the festival will feature a variety of food options to choose from on Friday, Aug. 30, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Organized by Jean Phillips, the festival will have something for everyone, including arts and crafts, antiques, jewelry, souvenirs, and wood decor. Visitors can enjoy children’s activities, door prizes, live entertainment, a chainsaw demo, face painting, a mechanical bull, and even a visit from Smokey the Bear. In addition, there will be unique items such as furniture made from elk horns, hand quilts, hand knives, leather, and wood items.

Expecting 3,000 to 5,000 attendees, Phillips encourages visitors to park at Sawtelle Mountain Resort and take the shuttle to the festival area. With an abundance of food options ranging from smoked barbecue to crepes, visitors are sure to find something delicious to enjoy. The festival has grown in size each year, and due to its popularity, Phillips plans to expand to West Yellowstone next year.
