A fire broke out at Camping World of Route 356 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County, early Wednesday morning, engulfing more than a dozen campers. Allegedly caused by propane tank explosions, the fire was reported at 4:40 a.m. A witness described hearing approximately a dozen explosions and seeing a large fire from her home. Initially believed to involve 15 campers, the number was later revised to 18. Ten fire departments responded to the scene promptly and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the business, thanks to the quick reporting. Despite the intensity of the situation, no injuries were reported, and no one was taken to the hospital. The cause of the fire remains unknown, with investigations ongoing. State Police Fire Marshall will be reviewing surveillance footage from the store to determine the origin of the fire. Chief Dan Uncapher commended the quick response of emergency crews in containing the fire, stating that their promptness likely prevented further damage and loss of property. The community is shaken by the incident, with residents expressing fear and concern over the possibility of the fire spreading.
