Live coverage of the first day of Paris Paralympic Games 2024: Swimming, track cycling, table tennis and more


Paralympic athletes from around the world are breaking records and competing fiercely in various events at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Daphne Schrager of the UK and Wang Xiaomei of China set new world records in cycling, while GB men’s basketball team defeated Germany. In wheelchair rugby, GB successfully defended their title against Australia. In basketball, GB women are dominating Spain, while the men’s team is facing off against Canada.
