The Dallas Cowboys have reached a historic agreement with quarterback Dak Prescott on a four-year, $240 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. The deal includes $231 million in guaranteed money, with an average annual value of $60 million. Prescott, a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, has played all nine seasons of his career with the Cowboys, amassing a 73-41 record and a 2-5 record in the postseason. Last season, Prescott set career highs in completions and touchdowns, leading the Cowboys to a 12-5 record but falling short in the playoffs. He joins receiver CeeDee Lamb as key offensive players who have signed new deals with the team this offseason. The Cowboys are set to face the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 opener.
