German Chancellor insists on Russia’s inclusion in any future Ukraine peace talks

Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agree on the need to include Russia in future peace conference discussions aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. Scholz emphasizes the importance of resolving the conflict quickly. At a recent meeting in Ramstein, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced a $250 million military aid package for Ukraine, with the UK and Germany also pledging support. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the assistance and called for increased deliveries of military hardware. On the battlefield, the governor of Russia’s Belgorod region reported Ukrainian shelling in a village, while fighting near Pokrovsk in Ukraine continues. Despite ongoing violence, efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s position and protect its citizens are a top priority. The international community is urged to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
