Community members in Idaho Falls are invited to celebrate the 100th birthday of President Russell M. Nelson, the worldwide leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The birthday celebration will be broadcast live at the Idaho Falls Temple Visitors’ Center at 4 p.m. on Monday. The event will be held in English in Theater 1 and in Spanish in Theater 2.
The broadcast will last 75 minutes and will focus on celebrating the life and teachings of President Nelson. In a news release, the visitor center mentioned that President Nelson had encouraged people to commemorate his birthday by reaching out to those in need, following the example of the Savior in the Bible.
The broadcast will also showcase stories of individuals worldwide who have performed acts of service and kindness in honor of President Nelson’s birthday over the past 100 days. The event will be available on the church’s website and YouTube channel and will be translated into multiple languages.
