Treasure Valley high school football teams Rocky Mountain, Bishop Kelly, and Fruitland are leading their classifications in the latest state media poll. Fruitland claimed the top spot in the 4A level after an upset win by Weiser over previous No. 1 Homedale. Three new teams, including Madison and Hagerman, entered the rankings ahead of Week 7.
Rocky Mountain remains the unanimous No. 1 in the 6A rankings, with Eagle and Rigby moving up to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. The rankings are determined by sports reporters across Idaho and include teams like Eagle and Fruitland that are scheduled to face off in important matchups.
In the 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A classifications, schools like Bishop Kelly, Aberdeen, Kendrick, Dietrich, and others are holding strong at the top of the polls. Several other teams are receiving votes, showing the competitive nature of high school football in Idaho.
