VICTOR, Idaho – Idaho Fish and Game officials are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for the dumping of 43 ducks near Upper Rainey Creek Road, approximately half a mile off Idaho Highway 31. The incident occurred on November 12, where the ducks were found intact and unfrozen, left to waste at the top of Pine Creek Pass.
Regional Conservation Officer Barry Cummings expressed concern over the incident, stating, “The needless wasting of wildlife is illegal and unethical." He emphasized the importance of community involvement in solving this case and urged anyone with potential information to come forward.
Authorities are encouraging the public to report any tips or sightings related to the incident. Individuals can contact the Upper Snake Regional Office at (208) 525-7290. Alternatively, reports can be made anonymously through the Citizens Against Poaching Hotline at 1-800-632-5999. Those who provide information that leads to a citation may also be eligible for cash rewards.
