The Vandal Volleyball team is gearing up to continue Big Sky play this week with a road trip to face Montana and Montana State. Idaho will first take on the Grizzlies on Thursday, Oct. 10 before facing off against the Bobcats on Saturday, Oct. 12. Both matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The Vandals are looking to bounce back from their third consecutive Big Sky loss against Eastern Washington. Madu Fontes leads the team in kills, while Miya Carmichael leads defensively. Fontes is also among the top players in the conference for aces, with Lauryn Arnold leading in blocks and Ada Isik in digs.
Montana enters the match with a 5-10 record and a winless streak in conference play. Paige Clark and Cassie Newman lead the Grizzlies in kills and assists, respectively. Alexis Batezel leads in digs and Brenley Hansen in blocks. On the other hand, Montana State has had a strong start to the conference play with a 3-1 record and a recent three-game winning streak. Jourdain Kamps leads the Bobcats in kills, while Lauren Lindseth stands out in digs. The Bobcats also had two players earn Player of the Week honors after a successful weekend.
After this road trip, Idaho will return home for a four-game homestand starting on October 17 against Weber State and October 19 against Idaho State.toBeDefined
