Man discharged from hospital after suffering thermal and chemical burns; gratitude expressed.

Tracy Fox, a Twin Falls man, has finally been discharged from the hospital after suffering severe thermal and chemical burns in an industrial accident last year. He had been hospitalized in a medically-induced coma since December 6 and is now facing a long road to recovery due to skin grafts and underlying health conditions. Tracy was injured while working at a plant in Jerome when he was sprayed with hot caustic lye, causing second and third-degree burns over 50% of his body. He was rescued by two men who heard his cries for help and immediately came to his aid. Tracy lost about 40 pounds during his hospital stay and is now focused on rebuilding his stamina through physical and occupational therapy. Despite the pain and challenges he faces, Tracy is thankful for the support from the community, including a GoFundMe campaign that has raised over $41,000. His wife, Carolyn, expressed gratitude for the kindness of strangers who offered them a place to stay during their time in Idaho Falls. Tracy’s recovery is ongoing, but he is hopeful for a return to a normal life with the help of those who have supported him.
