Fortunate Idaho Drivers Finding Gas Savings

The latest data from AAA Idaho shows that gasoline prices in the state are holding steady, with the average price for a gallon of regular at $3.18. This price is similar to last week’s, but four cents lower than a month ago and 19 cents lower than a year ago. Idaho’s gas prices rank 11th highest in the country, with neighboring states like Washington, Nevada, and Oregon paying more, while Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado pay less. AAA Idaho’s public affairs director, Matthew Conde, notes that with spring break beginning in some parts of Idaho, there may be a slight increase in gasoline demand, but for now, drivers can enjoy the lower prices compared to a year ago. The West Texas Intermediate benchmark for crude oil is currently trading at $68 per gallon, which has helped stabilize fuel prices. In Idaho, gas prices range from $2.99 in Coeur d’Alene to $3.21 in both Rexburg and Twin Falls. Overall, Idaho drivers are in a better position financially compared to a year ago, as cheaper crude oil contributes to more stable fuel prices.
