Three defensive players were also highlighted, including sophomore Dallas Afalava and senior Keyshawn James-Newby, who each tallied 5.0 sacks last season and were named among the top-25 returning FCS players at their respective positions. Senior defensive back Tommy McCormick, a two-time All-Conference honoree, was also recognized for his contributions on defense. Transfer kick returner Abraham Williams, an All-American at Weber State, gained preseason recognition for his skills. The Vandals are gearing up for fall camp set to begin on July 31.
